I’ve been reallybusy since my last blog update, but I finally have some time to do so. First of all, I have a ton of upcoming events and competitions. To start, I will soon be recording an application to be a US Presidential Scholar of the Arts. Getting this award would be an incredible honor, and I’m really motivated to try and get it. Next, I’m in the process of “college hopping,” trying to get a feel of what I want to do next year. It’s difficult to miss so much school, but I know it’s important to do. I’m still working on getting down my huge repertoire, which consists of Gaspard de la Nuit, Mephisto Waltz, the Waldstein Sonata, Bach Prelude and Fugue in D Major (Book I), Mozart Sonata in D Major K. 576, Ligeti’s The Devil’s Staircase, and Rag Infernal by William Bolcom. Obviously, that’s significantly more than an hour of music, but I enjoy all of my music, which makes it not nearly as difficult. I have a lot of competitions coming up soon, so these next foew months are gonna be crazy. Anyways, that about wraps up this blog, but I’ll try and get another update live soon, so stay tuned! Thanks for reading.
