Hi again, everyone,
It’s been a while since I updated this blog, so sorry about that. I’ve been really busy, but on the bright side, I have a lot to write about now. First of all, I recently came back from the Texas State International Piano Festival, which was an awesome experience. I attended several master classes (all of which were helpful), and played in one master class, which was incredibly helpful. All of my pieces improved at the festival, and I’m really glad I did it. Also, just a few days ago (Thursday the 14th and Friday the 15th) I participated in the TMTA state competition and won. I played the first movement of Mozart’s Sonata in D Major (K. 576) and Scarbo from Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit. In addition to being a fun competition, I’m especially glad I participated because my pieces were elevated to a much higher level; simply having to prepare for the competition improved my pieces dramatically, as did the judges’ critiques. Finally, I have the Valencia International Piano Festival coming up in just two weeks, which is bound to be a great, fun learning experience. I hope to update this blog again in the next two weeks, so as always, check back soon, and thanks for reading!
