Now that the world hasn’t ended, I figured it was time for another blog post. I’ve been really busy the past few weeks, and things only look to be getting busier. First of all, I’ve passed a few college pre-screenings (Minnesota, Michigan, and USC), which is a good feeling. I still have 7 or 8 to get back, but it’s nice getting some positive feedback. I’ve been working hard to get all my pieces up to snuff by auditions, which are in February. Gaspard de la Nuit is a really tough one, but I’m confident it’ll get to performance level sooner rather than later. The problem, with regards to auditions, is going to be the sheer stress level: I’m going to have around 7 auditions in 7 weeks, all across the country. Nevertheless, I’m going to do my absolute best, and hopefully things will work out well in the long run. In addition, I was recently named a 2013 YoungArts Merit Award Winner and a National Merit Quarterfinalist, both of which are important to me. It’s shaping up to be a very busy next few months, but I’m looking forward to it!
As always, thanks for reading.
