To start off, I’m going to try to update this blog way more frequently going forward. I’ve been really busy lately and didn’t have a lot of time to update it.
As I just mentioned, my schedule has been very tight recently. Since my last post, I won the MTNA Divisional competition and am currently preparing for the National round in New York, which takes place March 24-26. On the side of my MTNA repertoire, I’ve continued to work on the entirety of Gaspard de la Nuit by Ravel and have begun working on Ligeti’s The Devil’s Staircase. These have both been very difficult to learn, but I’m enjoying them nonetheless. Finally, I will be competing in the first round of the TMTA competition and in the Sonata division Dallas Symphonic competition the first two weeks of March.
As always, thanks for reading, and I promise I’ll update this blog again soon!
